The final case was about public and private usage of cars. Like said in the overall review, this case was trying to shoot two birds with one stone by having one major case and one minor case.

This started out with a driver coming into the ICAC department to report on the misuse of shuttle services among several parties.

What happened was Mok Yau Kuen (portrayed by Evergreen Mak) and Wong Hou Nam (portrayed by Louis Yuen) were abusing the shuttle services by using it for transporting Mok Yau Kuen’s girlfriends and himself to various places other than for the purpose of work. Wong Hou Nam was the one who started the whole idea because he wanted to please Mok Yau Kuen considering Mok’s occupation and high position. By making Mok happy, Wong was able to get many papers signed and made his boss happy. However, through many misuses of the shuttle services, the driver was not able to hold it in any longer after suffering through such an extreme work schedule and empty promises. He finally came in to report to the ICAC department of the illegal activities after having quit because he was yelled at after veering the truck safely out of harm’s way since a car just sped by and almost killed them all.

The second case was about some parties trying to please a highway inspector, Jason (portrayed by Stephen Huynh),  into signing the papers that ensured their project and progress by bribing him with cars. The flip side of it was not only that it was illegal, but it was because his driver’s license was recently revoked due to reckless driving.

The irony of both cases was that the speeding car that hit the truck transporting Mok Yau Kuen, Wong Hou Nam, and the other girls was Jason’s. That was the beginning of the investigation for both sides also.

Since the driver reported of the shuttle services too late, the ICAC investigators had a hard time finding and convincing the four girls to confess and become witnesses in court. Complications made the girls withdraw from being witnesses and did not show up in court at the scheduled date. It wasn’t until one of the girls’ marriage plans fell apart that the girls finally reunited and appeared at court in time.

The ICAC investigators this time were still the same for some parties while Andy Hui was their boss. Sammul appeared as Ka Ming–who had an awesome scene of running down flights of stairs in the end.
