183 Club Reunion: November 2017

(image credit: Ehlo Huang’s Facebook page)

This happened like in mid-November, but I was caught up with other stuffs so didn’t update. Anyway, it finally happened! All five of them managed to meet up again. Ehlo was excited when he shared the pictures of his wall, lol.

Xiao Qiao’s Wedding

Last weekend was actually Xiao Qiao’s wedding. I previously saw pictures but was confused since aside from her pictures, others didn’t post anything. I thought I misunderstood or it was for a show. But then last weekend’s updates clarified everything and it was very exciting.

The majority of the J-Star family came to support and celebrate with her. In fact, the other members of the 7 Flowers were her bridesmaids. The best men were Johnny Yan and Sam Wang from 183 Club and GINO from K-One. From other pictures, there were other pairings as well.

Of course, there were also other non-J-Star members whom came.

Liang Zhe was seen next to Ehlo at the reception.

Jun Ya, Derek Chen, and Ada Pan posed together at one point.

My favorite one must be of Doris and Sam, lol. Because she said the “before picture” was closer to their real life selves. She paired with Sam so Johnny and Jade were paired together (just like some past events).

Anyway, it was a huge event yet was also heartwarming in many ways and brought back memories for those previously following J-Star events. And I only posted up some pictures from the people I do follow so I don’t know the rest of the details. Also, some people I follow didn’t post up pictures so I wasn’t sure if they were there or not.

183 Club Reunion: Onstage! – Part II

Not long after I updated last time, Ehlo shared two more videos of them singing “A Date So Sweet” and “One Umbrella“. And interestingly, Ming Dao jumped off the stage during “One Umbrella” to drag Angel Wang on to the stage with him, joining the rest of them in the spotlight.

183 Club Reunion: Onstage!

Omg! It’s happening! At long last! Yes, it’s true this time.

I wasn’t paying attention too closely last time regarding how they were performing and all, but they were getting together to practice. It was actually a surprise.

Angel Wang from We Are In Love (我們相愛吧) was also there.  She was sitting near Ming Dao’s parents. She also got to go onstage and perform some songs with Ming Dao. It was a dream of hers to hold a concert (or something like that). It was indeed a touching moment for her. (Click on articles here, here, and here for details.)

Anyway, they performed four songs (Pure Love, Once Again, Affective Line, and Enticing Trick), not just the two mentioned in the articles. (Click here for Ehlo’s version of the upload.) Sadly, Johnny (according to Ehlo) had to work overseas so he wasn’t able to make it. But this was as close to a 183 Club reunion that we got as far as performing-wise so I call this a success. By the way, happy birthday to Jacky!

Notice that the other three guys changed their shoes after they changed their outfits, but Sam kept wearing his sneakers. (How cute!) At least he wasn’t persistent in sticking with his pajamas fashion, right? (Kidding, lol.)

183 Club Reunion: June 2017

The other day, James (Jacky’s brother) posted an article from Apple Daily of the guys hanging out and getting caught. What was controversial about it was how Ming Dao was seen with one of the star actresses from the popular TV drama Nirvana In Fire (琅琊榜), Angel Wang. Ming Dao and Angel previously collaborated in a reality show called We Are In Love (我們相愛吧).

Aside from that, their gathering was missing one person, which was Johnny. So the gang felt incomplete. According to the article, Ming Dao’s management team hadn’t disclosed anything regarding the band’s future professional-wise. However, it was mentioned that they are still pursuing their individual careers at the moment.

It was also mentioned that Jacky’s new drama, Prince Coffee Lab, will be airing in August.

What the article failed to mention was that Ehlo’s new drama A Railway Life (車站人生) is currently airing. It’s also available on DaAi’s YouTube channel. (Click here to watch.)
