As it were, Dong Han was on his way to execute his final plan–in his desperate situation. Yong Mei asked him about time and he said he had a little more time with this meeting. She was happy, of course. She ended up leading him into another room. He seemed anxious yet tried to keep his composure. Then her next action shocked him. She had prepared a birthday cake for him. She urged him to make a wish and blow out the candle yet he was numbed for a little before making a wish. He didn’t blow it out but had used his hand to extinguish it. She was surprised yet didn’t get technical about it, and proceeded to cut the cake instead. He watched her actions and was wagering things inside (or so it seemed) before asking her if she wanted to go out. She said she wanted to yet her mother still didn’t let her, still fearing Zhang Guo Tang and his gang and all. He reassured her by saying with him present, her mother would have nothing to worry about. That didn’t get her excited about a possible trip, but she told him she didn’t want to go out today. When he asked why, she told him it was because there was something more important than going out at that time. He asked her what that was while reaching for his gun, knowing he had to resort to other means with getting her out of there. She said that they were starting over once again, hinting at his previous statement to her about never having a start over, etc. (What?!?!) Her next words got to him all right. (It got to me too! I think the audience would be in for a major heart attack.) Anyway, what she said was she was pregnant with his child. (Again, what?!?! When did that happen?) That also caused Dong Han to let go of his gun. He was indeed shocked. He asked if she was joking around with him. She said she wasn’t. She begged him to say a word or two after a brief moment of silence. He finally got up to leave. She took a different approach, reminding him about how he wanted to go out earlier and maybe they could. He said he have stuff to do so he had to go. She stopped him, asking him if he would come back. He said no. She asked even if she’d given birth to the child. He said no again. After some more rounds of questions and disappointment, she said it was all right he didn’t want to be involved anymore, she only wanted him to tell her what he’d wished earlier. He hesitated before answering, saying that he only wanted her to be safe. After he left, he drove to someplace before crying it out.

Meanwhile, at the secret headquarter, Zi Yan was outside looking at the clouds again. Chen Jie was looking for her and tried to comfort her. Surprisingly, he was calmer than in the past. They somewhat confided in one another, but more Chen Jie than Zi Yan. Chen Jie said that he was wrong regarding Dong Han. Zi Yan said that since the beginning, he wasn’t wrong because he had suspected Dong Han for being the mole. Chen Jie said at first he thought so but then had treated Dong Han like a good fellow cop, even a good brother but it turned out otherwise. He knew it was hard for him to accept it, but he also knew that it was even more terrible for Zi Yan. Chen Jie also offered to lend an ear whenever Zi Yan needed to talk. Zi Yan said that she was fine, Dong Han wasn’t able to hurt her. She said she would definitely catch him. Then she left. Chen Jie took a look at the sky once more before going inside as well.

Then they had the meeting. Xiao He briefed them with how Dong Han had tried to manipulate them from the beginning within the special team. The most unlucky person was obviously Ah Gang. However, Xiao He said that according to Ah Gang, Zhang Guo Tang was willing to leave with Dong Han so it was a mystery as to why Dong Han still wanted to kill him. Xiao He then told them about Dong Han’s real identity. When it was disclosed that Dong Han was one of the kids in the accident of 1992, Zi Yan had looked surprised. At that time, Xiao He was also saying that because of Dong Han’s identity, the reason for killing Zhang Guo Tang would be explained–aka with Dong Han thinking that Zhang Guo Tang was the one responsible for it all. At that time, Chen Jie had spoken up to ask their boss about his knowledge of all their background and doing a background check before selecting them, etc. Chief Zheng said that he did check them out, but there were certain exceptions. Zi Yan was still seen distracted while Chief Zheng asked Xiao He about contacting Dong Han’s mother. Xiao He said that she didn’t pick up when he called but he would continue to try. Chief Zheng then said how things were getting more and more complicated. He pointed out that Dong Han and Zi Hong should know each other and all. Their initial conjecture with there being a third party in this matter, aside from Zi Hong, there was also Dong Han. Then he pondered how many more were involved in this matter. Then Ah Gang came in–still on the phone. He hung up after saying that he would report it. Ah Gang finally approached their boss and said that Dong Han previously went to the Luo resident. Dong Han initially wanted to take Yong Mei with him yet he left alone. Chief Zheng told the others to send out a notice for Dong Han and also told Zi Yan to go talk to Yong Mei since she was closer to Yong Mei and could find out more information. Zi Yan was still distracted yet uttered a word of confirmation about her assignment. Chief Zheng continued by saying that Chen Jie and Ah Gang would follow him, etc. After Chief Zheng left, Ah Gang noticed that Xiao He was distracted so he asked Xiao He about it. Xiao He finally voiced his opinion, saying how it was unbelievable that Dong Han could be bought over (i.e. hinting at one of Chief Zheng’s theories). Ah Gang said he didn’t believe it either. Xiao He reminded Ah Gang that Ah Gang almost got killed. Ah Gang said that if Dong Han wanted to kill him, he wouldn’t be standing there–and even pointed out that it seemed like Dong Han was reluctant. When Xiao He asked Chen Jie, Chen Jie responded by saying that Dong Han didn’t even care for his life, it was unbelievable that he would do it for money. Then Xiao He asked Zi Yan, but she was still distracted. Then she just got up and left. Chen Jie spoke up for her, saying that whatever they didn’t believe, Zi Yan’s feelings would double that. He stated that it was because Zi Yan liked Dong Han even more than them.

Yong Mei’s first words to Zi Yan were asking Zi Yan if Zi Yan came to apologize. (Really?) Zi Yan said it wasn’t. Yong Mei wanted to know what happened since Zi Yan said stuff hadn’t ended yet. Zi Yan told Yong Mei that Zhang Guo Tang died already, and it was Dong Han who killed him. Yong Mei couldn’t believe it. Zi Yan said they couldn’t believe it at first, but a notice had been sent out for Dong Han. That was when Yong Mei fell apart. (Sort of.) Zi Yan than proceeded with her questions about Dong Han seeking Yong Mei out earlier. Yong Mei denied that Dong Han had told her anything. Yong Mei told Zi Yan how she had prepared a cake for Dong Han and how Dong Han’s wish was for her to be safe. Yong Mei asked if Dong Han came to her place after killing Zhang Guo Tang. Zi Yan confirmed. Then Yong Mei went on and on about stuff. What got Zi Yan’s attention the most was Yong Mei disclosing that she was pregnant with Dong Han’s child. Yong Mei said that she previously thought Dong Han was very cruel in saying how he didn’t want to meet again, etc yet now she understood. Zi Yan said perhaps it was so. Yong Mei was ranting on and on about how she didn’t believe that Dong Han was a bad person. Zi Yan couldn’t take it anymore so she got up and told Yong Mei to take care and that she was leaving. Yong Mei asked where Zi Yan was going and if Zi Yan was going to kill Dong Han. Zi Yan said that if Dong Han wanted to kill her, she would. Yong Mei begged Zi Yan not to kill Dong Han since she didn’t want her child without a father. Zi Yan hesitated for a bit before nodding, saying that she promised. Zi Yan finally broke down when she was outside alone. It was indeed very, very, very heartbreaking for her. And then elsewhere that night, Dong Han was seen camping in the woods (or so it seemed) and carving on another wooden piece.

The meeting between Zi Hong and Miao Miao and Jiang Jian Ming finally came about. Jiang Jian Ming said that Zi Hong probably knew already. Zi Hong returned it by saying what did the other party meant. Jiang Jian Ming said that Zi Hong was his son. Zi Hong was still in doubt. Jiang Jian Ming launched into recounting how he met Zi Hong’s mother and how they got together (even with the huge age gap and how Jiang Jian Ming was already married at that time). Upon learning that Zi Hong’s mother was pregnant, he wanted the lady to have an abortion yet she said no. She said he didn’t want the kid yet she did, and that she would take care of the kid so he didn’t need to worry about it. She also suggested that they break up. Then she left the following day. She had kept her promise of not using the kid against him. After those stories, they were back to the main point. Zi Hong asked the old man if he didn’t want him at all. Jiang Jian Ming said he didn’t want Zi Hong from the start. Since it was already cleared, Zi Hong wanted to talk business instead. He wanted money yet the amount he demanded was too much. Zi Hong got riled up, saying how he didn’t care for money. (He was just testing Jiang Jian Ming.) Jiang Jian Ming reminded Zi Hong that Zi Hong asked for money before too. The argument got to the point that Zi Hong almost punched Jiang Jian Ming out, but Miao Miao interfered and pulled Zi Hong back. They finally separated and put a safe distance between one another. Zi Hong was still upset though, yelling out that Jiang Jian Ming couldn’t measure up to his mother. Jiang Jian Ming agreed. Zi Hong then asked about the car accident and Jiang Jian Ming denied. Zi Hong moved on to asking about Project Jing Hai. Jiang Jian Ming once again denied his involvement. Zi Hong said that he was lying, so Jiang Jian Ming said it was up to Zi Hong whether he wanted to believe it or not. Jiang Jian Ming went on to say that Shen You Fu already told Zi Hong that the accident was indeed an accident, and he reasoned that he wouldn’t hurt the person he loved or his son. Zi Hong said he wasn’t Jiang Jian Ming’s son. He moved on to say how he was representing the people of the old town to come and talk to Jiang Jian Ming. Jiang Jian Ming asked Zi Hong what he meant. Zi Hong said they had one common goal, which was to find out the truth so Jiang Jian Ming and his wife should publicly issue an apology. Jiang Jiang Ming, of course, turned down the request and said he didn’t do anything wrong. Zi Hong said if he didn’t apologize, there would be other consequences, including many other innocent people being hurt. Jiang Jian Ming said he didn’t care how many people threaten him, he wouldn’t do it as told, even if it was Zi Hong. He then disclosed that Zi Hong’s name was chosen by him (aka what Zi Hong said about him being cold-blooded and all, regardless, Zi Hong was still his son). Then he left. Zi Hong spoke up after a moment of silence, saying he was all right yet he had failed. He told Miao Miao to be prepared since, after today, they would be enemies of everyone, even her grandfather. After some more mushy moments between them, they finally called up Grandpa Yang to report back about their failure to negotiate. Grandpa Yang responded by saying that they had to go forth with their final plan then. Grandpa Yang also said that Chief Zheng had called the previous day telling him about Zi Hong, etc. After that, he declared that from that day on, Zi Hong and Miao Miao were severed from Project Returning Home. (Wow, nice! Only protecting his flesh and blood and the chick’s boyfriend, not caring for others.) Miao Miao cranked up her attitude once again and ranted stuff. But then she broke down again, asking how could she survive without her grandpa, etc. Grandpa Yang actually laughed and said that he loved Miao Miao’s scolding the most. She told him not to joke around anymore. He told her and Zi Hong to take care before hanging up. Miao Miao tried calling him on the house phone yet he didn’t pick up either. Ms. Liu finally spoke up and told Grandpa Yang if he wanted to leave, he could since she could finish their plan alone. He turned her offer down, saying that he had to do it. And then it was back to Miao Miao and Zi Hong. Miao Miao wanted to go home and check yet Zi Hong pulled her back. It wasn’t because he wanted to stop her, but it was because he wanted to go with her. When they arrived, no one was there. There was only a letter left behind for them. The majority were somewhat of a summary and his feelings, but one of the major parts was how he promised Miao Miao that innocent people wouldn’t be hurt and that he only wanted to leave behind an impact.

While they were on their way to somewhere though, Grandpa Yang received a call from Dong Han. Dong Han asked if Jiang Jian Ming had agreed to their terms. Grandpa Yang said it wasn’t successful. Dong Han then said that so they had no choice but to proceed with the next part of the plan. Grandpa Yang confirmed yet told Dong Han that it wasn’t his business anymore. (Really? A little late for that, he’d already gone crazy.) Dong Han said he couldn’t stay out of it, and that the person who should be out of the plan should be his mother, not him. Ms. Liu disagreed. Dong Han reasoned that he already killed three people so he was in deep hence she should be the one staying out of it. She didn’t want to. Dong Han said it was too late since he already executed that plan and had already sent Grandpa Yang an e-mail so they should be clear of the details when they open it. Dong Han went on to say that he would be responsible for the rest of the plan while letting Grandpa Yang exit safely out of it. Grandpa Yang, of course, didn’t agree. It didn’t matter, Dong Han was hanging up. After he hung up, he was looking at the power station nearby.

Back at the secret headquarter, they were discussing how they weren’t able to reach Dong Han’s mother. Soon though, Xiao He rushed in to tell them about Dong Han’s e-mail. He soon turned on the monitor to show them a clip. Dong Han first clarified that he was the one who killed those three people, not Zi Hong. He told the others that they could stop looking for Zi Hong now. He then proceeded to tell them about what happened years ago, and how people were hurt during those times of the land redevelopment and much more before moving on to the accident of 1992. While the others were focusing on the clip, Zi Yan was seen distracted and almost in tears. Dong Han finally got to the point, saying how no one was doing anything regarding the situation yet he was. He said he was the only one plotting everything right from the start and that no one else was involved. He named his terms. The first one was that Jiang Jian Ming would publicly admit that he had told Zhang Guo Tang and the two to cause the accident of 1992. The second one was that Mrs. Jiang had to tell them what Project Jing Hai was. The third part was for Jiang Jian Ming to publicly apologize for what happened. If not, he would blow up a certain place. He gave them a 24-hour deadline. After that segment, Grandpa Yang told Xiao Zhao (one of his helpers) to drive him to the head councilman’s place and then take Ms. Liu home. She protested yet he said that at the current state, the less involved, the better. And when it was back to the secret headquarter, Xiao He said that he wasn’t able to track the location of where the e-mail had been sent from. Chief Zheng told Zi Yan and Chen Jie to go look for Dong Han. Ah Gang was able to retrieve some evidence such as the hoodies wore during the crimes that they’d seen in the clips, so Chief Zheng told him to go have it checked out while he went to meet up with Head Councilman Luo and Chairman Jiang. Both were still keeping their lips tight, despite the deadline looming ahead. The other two were ganging up on Chief Zheng, wondering why Chief Zheng believed Dong Han’s words. Chief Zheng said he didn’t, but now it involved too many people and if it were true, he couldn’t risk it. Head Councilman Luo said he would take responsibility for it. Chief Zheng asked him if he was still willing to take responsibility when it involved all of those innocent people. He confirmed. Chief Zheng said all right but he pointed out that the first person having to take responsibility for it would be him. (Yup, always.) Chief Zheng then said that if the worst were to come, he would resign yet he said before the resignation, he would have to use all his energy to find out what Project Jing Hai was. So since no one made a move or take any actions, Dong Han contacted them again and gave them some coordinates. It was a nearby power station. Chief Zheng called Chen Jie up and told him to go to the place and check it out. So Chen Jie and Zi Yan were rushing around the area to find Dong Han yet was unsuccessful. It was too late. They were able to see the power station but it was still a distance from them. The explosion caused blackouts for a portion of the city. Like Chief Zheng declared, Dong Han was serious about his words. Dong Han sent them another clip, saying that that was just a little warning so if the deadline came around, they better do as he said. When Chief Zheng asked Yang Yong Zhao for advice and wanted him to somehow get to Dong Han since he was Dong Han’s teacher, after all, Yang Yong Zhao said that they should investigate into Project Jing Hai more. He claimed it was because how the others were being too secretive, meaning they had something to hide. One of the officers said that it would be somewhat troublesome with what Yang Yong Zhao wanted them to do. Yang Yong Zhao stated that it would be even more troublesome if the explosion were to occur. After the brief meeting, Chief Zheng went over to Grandpa Yang, saying that Zi Hong and Miao Miao were in the clear now so they would be fine. Grandpa Yang only uttered words of gratitude toward Chief Zheng.

While Zi Hong and Miao Miao were elsewhere eating that night, they heard the news with Dong Han’s situation and how he had admitted to all crimes, plus the current plan. Yong Mei and her family were also watching the news at their place so she was more than shocked by what was going on, asking if it was true. Her mother, after turning the TV off, said, of course, it wasn’t true. So it was back to Zi Hong and Miao Miao. Miao Miao said that since Dong Han admitted to all crimes and clarified that it was only him, he would be alone now. Zi Hong reminded Miao Miao what she said previously, not leaving anyone behind, even her grandpa. He went on to say that since they weren’t being chased anymore, they could go to the police. Miao Miao asked if he thought her grandpa was there. He confirmed and even said that now her grandpa’s plan had been taken over by Dong Han.

So the ‘high and mighty’ family finally sat down to discuss the matter regarding Project Jing Hai. Well, according to Head Commissioner Luo, his wife did not know. And of course, Yong Mei didn’t know yet she was spying on them. Whatever it was they were going to say, it wasn’t disclosed to the viewers.

Chief Zheng and Yang Yong Zhao were talking. Chief Zheng showed Yang Yong Zhao the wooden piece. He said that he was half surprised and half saddened after seeing it. He couldn’t believe that such a talented person like Dong Han would head toward such a road. What was frustrating was how they couldn’t find out what Project Jing Hai was. After a while, Chief Zheng received a call from Zi Hong so he was more than glad. Then Chen Jie went to fetch them and brought them back to the secret headquarter. They were making an exception with letting the two enter. Miao Miao took the chance of a brief pause to ask about her grandpa. Chen Jie said that he just left not long ago. She then asked if her grandpa knew she was coming. Chen Jie said that he knew. Then they were in the meeting area. Chief Zheng introduced some others to them before telling them they were talking about Project Jing Hai. Miao Miao asked if her grandpa knew of the meeting. Chief Zheng said he knew. Then Chief Zheng told the others to take a seat since the meeting was about to start. Soon, Zi Yan was seen passing around some files for the meeting. She had paused to smile at Miao Miao–to which Miao Miao returned the gesture. When Miao Miao attempted to call her grandpa again, he didn’t pick up.

The meeting commenced at last. Apparently, they managed to get a judge’s order to unseal the files of Project Jing Hai hence having more information on it. The thing was while they were discussing it, it shifted it to the Luo resident where Head Councilman Luo was explaining to his wife about Project Jing Hai as well. Then the scene was brought back to the secret headquarter but had focused on Zi Hong and Miao Miao walking outside. Miao Miao was still worried about her grandpa. Zi Hong suggested that they made a trip back to the forest tomorrow. He had a plan.

Zi Yan and Dong Han’s face-off scene finally happened. She saw him so she drew her weapon and he had heard her so he had turned around in time to point a gun at her as well. She spoke up first, saying how he’d tricked the others, including her. He returned it by saying, “So?” Then the scene zoomed to the other officer and he heard a shot. Then Dong Han’s car was seen fleeing the scene. The officer quickly called in to report before rushing toward the direction of the shot earlier. When he arrived at Zi Yan’s side, it was seen that she was kneeling on the ground, covering one hand. She was bleeding. It was too obvious that Dong Han had shot her. They were really tightening the security after the incident, so Dong Han was seen fleeing on foot. Zooming forward, the police were seen at another location. Then Ah Gang reported to Chief Zheng that Zi Yan’s wound wasn’t extreme so she only needed several stitches. Chief Zheng asked if she was still moving around. Ah Gang said that even Chen Jie couldn’t stop her. When asked about Dong Han, Ah Gang said they were still looking for him. Chief Zheng then turned to Yang Yong Zhao, asking if it was possible that Dong Han would go find Jiang Jian Ming. Yang Yong Zhao said it was possible. Chief Zheng then told Ah Gang to tell Chen Jie and Zi Yan to go to the Luo resident, considering how Zi Yan was especially close to their family and all. After Ah Gang left, they began discussing Dong Han’s plan and a possible way to solve this matter.

At the Luo resident, Chen Jie stopped Zi Yan when they got out of the car, asking her if she was really all right. She reassured him that she was fine before heading inside. Mrs. Luo was waiting for her so she introduced Zi Yan to her mother. Yong Mei was there as well with her grandmother. After the introduction, Mrs. Luo told her mother that the police had sent Zi Yan there to protect them. After her grandmother and mother left, Yong Mei quickly pestered Zi Yan for information regarding Dong Han. Zi Yan shrugged her hand off. It was then that Yong Mei asked her about her hand. Zi Yan said that it was just a little wound and that she was all right. After some hesitation, she told Yong Mei that he saw Dong Han earlier that day. Yong Mei asked if Dong Han was all right. Zi Yan nodded and said it seemed so. Then Yong Mei finally realized it, so she asked if Zi Yan’s wound was because of Dong Han. Zi Yan nodded again and said that they should talk about that later. However, Yong Mei went on and asked if it was because of how she asked Zi Yan not to hurt Dong Han hence Zi Yan ended up getting hurt. Zi Yan said it wasn’t so, and that Yong Mei shouldn’t think too much. Zi Yan finally excused herself.

Later, Yong Mei was preparing juices and cookies in the kitchen when Chen Jie entered. He said that her mother wanted him to help her. She thanked him before asking him about Zi Yan’s wound. He said it wasn’t too bad. She then asked if it was Dong Han who shot Zi Yan. Chen Jie confirmed. As Yong Mei was placing the juices and cookies into a trade, Chen Jie proceeded with putting the remaining of the juice back into the fridge. While doing that, Chen Jie said that it was indeed unbelievable how things turned out, because Dong Han was indeed a very good colleague. Chen Jie even went on to say that he thought he was going to get to drink their ‘happy wine’ (喜酒). Upon hearing “their”, Yong Mei asked what Chen Jie meant. Chen Jie asked back if Yong Mei didn’t know. Yong Mei asked Chen Jie to clarify. Chen Jie said that they were always in charge of protecting Yong Mei, so how could Yong Mei not know. It was then that Yong Mei realized Chen Jie was talking about Dong Han and Zi Yan.

What is the purpose of making Yong Mei pregnant?!!! And No, making Dong Han the next Jiang Jian Ming is not a good reason!! It doesn’t resonate with anything! How dare she say those things to Zi Yan?!
And then the part where Zi Yan got shot. I think she shot herself so Dong Han could get away. It made sense with the previews.

I can’t believe they replaced the person I sympathise the most with Zi Yan. It used to be Jiayuan. But omgosh, is Zi Yan gonna sacrifice herself to blow up the reservoir? She actually shot Chen Jie in the previews right? Did Ah Gong think he didn’t sacrifice enough people already? Why did he put Zi Yan in the same position as Dong Han?! @@ It’s such a WTF situation. So Zi Hong and Miao Miao is safe from everything apart from everyone else?? Weren’t they the main leads? Why do they have such weak purposes?! Then they should give Dong Han and especially Zi Yan more screentime!!

Please understand me, my brain is still fried from Saturday.

I totally understand! I was infuriated when I watched that part. And I think I still am BUT it had subsided temporarily just because I went to take a break and watched something else. Because they (the screenwriters) stuck that detail like right at the beginning of the episode, I literally stopped and wanted to quit it. Yet I can’t since I wanted to find out what was happening with the plans and other madness. Then I just decided to walk around to calm down before watching again. I know it’s just a show BUT seriously, that was really, really, really ugh. It was a cliche formula too. And you’re right about making it sound like Jiang Jian Ming. In a way, it was karma for Jiang Jian Ming YET even if I don’t care for Yong Mei, the baby is innocent. I half wanted it to be some delusional stuffs Yong Mei cooked up to deceive Dong Han OR something. Or if she had somehow gone crazy and fantasized stuffs, but it was true according to his reactions and how he didn’t confront her and call her crazy OR anything of that nature.

Totally agree with how Zi Hong and Miao Miao become so passive and inactive in stuffs. Okay, I hate to watch their mushy scenes all the time, but Zi Hong used to be one of the frontrunners for the whole finding out the truth and seeking revenge, but now he just fell back and it seemed like he didn’t care anymore or something. Well, he still cared, but it made it so anti-climatic after Jia Yuan’s death. It was like he didn’t care that she died for nothing. After the initial heartbreaking moments of crying over her death, that was it. Um, he did show strong reactions and his anger toward Ah Gong and his crazy plans but it was like Jia Yuan was forgotten for how she died, etc. Even if there was a tiny bit of them saying how it seemed like Jia Yuan died for nothing, I needed that. Instead, Zi Hong and Miao Miao were told to stand back and be safe while the others got dragged in by Ah Gong. Well, I didn’t need Zi Hong to be so violent and nuts like Dong Han, but at least be more involved in stuffs rather than just the constant scenes with Miao Miao, etc.

I read some of the comments and some viewers were saying how the writers were trying to kill Dong Han for good or something – or at least put him on the road of no return. Like it wasn’t bad enough with making him a crazy murderer (driven by revenge) but now, it got even worse with the Yong Mei situation. Now Zi Yan found out she was betrayed, etc.

I hated the part where Yong Mei confronted Zi Yan too, saying stuffs like how Zi Yan misunderstood. I don’t know when Dong Han had gotten together with Yong Mei to even get her pregnant, but if it was the hospital scene, it was stupid and didn’t make sense. Seriously? He was injured and stuffs. I don’t believe he have any energy for anything else. Sorry if I’m getting on the ‘inappropriate’ territory or going overboard, but that didn’t make sense. They could have gotten together later after he gotten out of the hospital somehow, maybe he just wanted to use her to extract info, but seriously? That was a big blow.

Don’t apologise for anything. If the writer didn’t want us to think that way then don’t go down that path! I went on PTT and literally everyone went crazy over the pregnant bit. I completely understand the confusion. I don’t believe Dong Han was strong enough, nor did I believe it could be this coincidental , nor did I believe Dong Han could do this to Zi Yan. She was right outside the bedroom! Now I see why Dong Han was so reluctant to give the tiniest response to Yong Mei. I knew there was something other than Zi Yan that prompted such a huge reaction from him every time Yong Mei made a move. URGH! This turned everything around for Dong Han. Then he was this sympathizable murderer who went crazy over his grief and now he’s this asshole who betrayed his girlfriend. Did the writer not ruin this character enough for us?!

Ok so with all this happening Zi Yan must be Xiao Cao. You know the first thing that popped into my mind? I’d rather Yong Mei be Xiao Cao than this pregnant bullshit! I’m so there with you, I just wanted to quit the show altogether when I got to that part. But then the Jing Hai plan I really wanted to know so I kept watching.

It just made every fight scene of Zi Hong/Miao Miao really pointless. And Jiayuan really died for nothing, you were right. When Dong Han blew up that tower things realistically got on such a huge magnitude I wanted to cry for the cat/insect/grass group. How could Ah Gong say that he doesn’t want to drag the next generation into this? The moment Hui Jia Ji Hua activated no one’s out of this for good. It’ll be just down to the 4 of them. But what next if they stopped Dong Han and/or Zi yan from blowing up the whole place? Does this diabolical “mistake” get public and we get justice finally after so many people died? Someone has to take responsibility for this. The Jiang family can’t get away with this. When you’re in a position of power you yield greater responsibilty.

Yup, Dong Han was worth pity points since episode 11 (with how we found out he’d gone so blind with revenge and all) and then 2 episodes later, he’s a bastard. (Here I apologize for language, lol. But it is frustrating.) Yeah, Dong Han got thrown under the bus for it.

Oh yeah, I wanted someone to pay for what happened too. Again, I don’t agree with the crazy blow up thing that Ah Gong and the others were planning, but I seriously want to see them brought to justice. Chief Zheng had promised to get to the bottom of this, even if it costs his job SO I hope it gets out.

And guess what? I caved since it’s almost the end now. What I meant is I went back and watched all the BTS that I skipped previously. Then I watched the BTS for episode 14 too. You’re right, Zi Yan shot herself. OR at least it seemed so according to how they were planned it with the filming. It was too windy that day with the filming and there was the whole Zi Yan tossed Dong Han something before she shot herself (I think) BUT because of the wind (or they wanted to believe so, lol), Pan Bo Xi kept missing it every time Dou Hua Mei tossed him the item. It was hilarious. It sort of lifted my moods for a bit after all the intensity.

Haha I was hesitant about revealing what I found in the BTS to you so I phrased it as if it were my own idea. LOL. The BTS also took me out of the mood for a bit so i really appreciated it as well 🙂 How cute was Dou Hua Mei’s face when she shot herself with an empty gun lol. It seems that Zi Yan tossed Dong Han the wooden strip to identify herself as Xiao Cao. Hence explains why Zi Hong and Miao Miao went back to the woods and found all the wooden strips were taken. I expected that they show the conversation between Zi Yan and Dong Han this episode but it seems they were planning to put it in a future flashback scene. The squirm on Dong Han’s face when Zi Yan questioned him about whether he liked Yong Mei. Wants me to hit him over the head with a bat lol. If only I knew the scenario behind that(!) So you don’t like Yong Mei right, Dong Han? But then later they were gonna reunite as Xi Shuai and Xiao Cao(I presume?) and I would probably shed tears for that. Conflicting, eh? Well done, director, you just transformed the plot into a bloody K-drama, or was it an 8-o’clock Taiwan family drama?

Oooh, thanks for protecting me from spoilers! LOL! Since it’s only one more ep left so I thought no harm hence finally caving in with BTS, lol. And good catch, I was wondering what she was tossing toward him too. That would make sense, lol. And I want to hit Dong Han over the head with a sledgehammer maybe, lol. Okay, sounds super violent BUT after that trauma we went through, I think it’s justified to be upset about his character. OR should I go after the writers instead?
