Year 2017 in Recap

year_review
When I thought that 2016 was a terrible year for me, I was wrong. 2017 continued to tank to a new level of crappiness. There were many frustrating things–one after another. It was like when I asked, “How much worse could 2017 be?”, it was like a challenge to the universe. So stuff happening in real life obviously affected how much time I have for this blog or attempted to keep some sort of activity. I did better than last year regarding updates, but that was a lot of effort, because I’m still way behind on some news that I wanted to talk about. Yet no time or more like didn’t feel like it at the moment. I continued to get drained to another level that I thought might not be possible–like several days before. Then the pattern just repeat itself at different intervals. I think somewhere along the way, I ended up revamping my blog by getting rid of the too random posts. Like those general update ones. Although my blog already is random on many levels, but I didn’t want to just post for the sake of placeholders too much. Anyway, here are some stats for this year.

Total Posts in 2017: 155 (11.7% of all time).
January: 18 (% of the year)
February: 10 (%)
March: 21 (%)
April: 20 (%)
May: 11 (%)
June: 18 (%)
July: 6 (%)
August: 4 (%)
September: 20 (%)
October: 14 (%)
November: 9 (%)
December: 4 (%)

Books Reviews: Sad, because I actually read a bit this year but didn’t feel like doing reviews for some of them. Maybe I’ll go back to do them later.

Movies + TV Series Reviews/Episode Summaries:

Fan Fiction: Complete failure–unlike what I promised last year about getting  things done. I started looking over some of the fan fics again and managed to get going on some, but I can’t promise on how fast it would be rolled out. I’ll get it out when I’m happy with what I wrote.

Songs Translations: I used “You’re Always Beautiful” to start the year, thinking that if I continue to retain some sense of positiveness, somehow things will get better. But it didn’t. Anyway, how was this year regarding translations? I didn’t realize I was that productive. Mostly, I tried to push the majority of 183 Club’s songs out.

I didn’t want to do this update like I said last year. However, I felt like I needed to persuade myself to continue on. Not to mention, I want to keep some sort of teeny, tiny bit of hope that 2018 will actually be better. So we’ll see, right?

My Dear Boy: Wrap-Up

Yes, the drama has wrapped up already after several months of filming. The cast and crew seemed to get along quite well.

My Dear Boy: Blessing Ceremony

Yes, this drama is finally taking off. It went quiet for a while that I almost thought it got scraped. Serious. Then saw Ruby’s page update today so excited. (Go here for articles.)

What’s even more exciting is the announcement of additional cast. Joining Ruby and Derek as part of the main cast are Archie Kao and Li Li Ren. Other cast include Zhang Ben Yu, Yan Yi Wen, Qu Zhong Heng, Greg Hsu, and Jenny Wen.

And yes, the Archie Kao that is married to Zhou Xun. That’s what the majority of the population that follows her career calls him. I know him as the guy who got robbed in CSI. (Yes, I never forgot or forgave after all these years.)

Anyway, what I find amusing is how Wallace has worked with Zhou Xun twice already, so now Ruby’s working with Archie, nice? Can’t wait to see what would come out of this collaboration and hope it would also be as successful. I silently wish that they’re paired together, but that would divert off course of the main theme? Watch the press conference below for more information.

Celebs Real Life Couples

Okay, I was just bored and wanted to start a list. But I will only include the ones I know for sure of OR care about somewhat. So if you don’t see your favorites on there, DON’T freak out. Also, I’m not including any past relationships OR rumors. AND–yes, this is the last one–I’m dividing them by region since I was getting a headache trying to group ’em one way or another.

CSI: Grave Danger

One of the most intense episodes in the series. Probably because Quentin Tarantino is the director. If anyone need a little recap, Nick Stokes was kidnapped so the rest of the team had to used all their resources and talents to find him before it was too late. This episode actually cranked the hype a bit more. Of course, considering how they not only had to race with the time to save Nick but they were also thrown an extra special surprise in the end. I had somewhat felt disappointed that the team had fallen apart after Ecklie had divided them into two teams. Yet this episode brought back the much needed teamwork essence of the show. Well, they were still close and had fought on some levels because of differences of opinions at times but they seemed distant toward one another, except for Nick and Warrick whom were joking around so comfortably at times during and after their shift. The spirit of the team in this episode was heightened to a new level. In fact, the whole lab had come together to solve the puzzles. Archie Johnson got to actually participate in different discussions regarding the case. He managed to narrow down the area of the webcam feed yet it was still a large area. Grissom, whom had previously managed to capture an image of the ant, had successfully identified it hence giving Catherine and Sara–respectively–enough information to narrow the the location even more. Of course, Greg and Warrick had also helped with their own research and gathering of information. That moment was really fast yet showed their talents and deduction skills at work. This episode also shown the powerful friendship between Nick and Warrick. Even Catherine was willing to beg her father for the ransom money, even though she didn’t want to associate with him anymore. All in all, a very good episode.
