Attention, Love! Many Cute Moments

Since filming began for the drama, there had been many fun moments on set. I had a lot of fun following them. But of course, once again, I’m slow to update. So this post will be dedicated to that.

The cast and crew spent many holidays together since filming, including Valentine’s Day.

Wang Zi even sparked a bit of controversy when he posted the above picture, wanting others to guess who the person was as a Valentine’s Day gag. Of course, fans rushed to answer that it was none other than Qiao Qiao, which was true since they were also filming that day–as stated before.

Of all the special occasions, they also celebrated Qiao Qiao’s birthday on set.

Wang Zi also compimented Qiao Qiao’s hardworking attitude in another post he shared.

They sure had fun, but I hope that the drama would be equally exciting as following the production thus far.

Wang Zi and Qiao Qiao Reunion: Attention, Love!

Wang Zi just posted a message on Facebook saying he had a new project with Qiao Qiao, asking if we were looking forward to it. That was when I went to search for news. (Go here and here for articles.) It had been four years since their collaboration in Ti Amo Chocolate. This was his first project coming back to Taiwan since he had been working in the mainland for the past four years. The drama focused around high school years. It had been awhile since they were students so it might take some used to. However, it seemed like they were up to the challenge. Wang Zi disclosed in the message he posted that his character was Yan Li Zheng (顏力正) and Qiao Qiao’s character was Zhong Xiao Xi (鍾少曦). Apparently, it was also a reunion for the two with Gao Shu Yao, because she was also in Ti Amo Chocolate.

Anyway, they just had the blessing ceremony for the drama. The story supposedly was about how Wang Zi and Qiao Qiao’s characters were in a prearranged marriage and Wang Zi’s character lived with Qiao Qiao’s character’s family since Wang Zi’s character’s parents had already passed away. The basis was mentioned as that. However, if there would be any changes, we’ll just have to wait and see. But I’m wondering if they would sing the main theme together or possibly some other songs in the drama, considering how they had sang together in the past already.

Some other cast members included Huang Xin Di (who had worked with Qiao Qiao in True Love 365), SpeXial’s Riley, Greg Hsu, Zhang Guang Chen, Barry Qu, Carolyn Chen, Xu Fan, and Scott Yang.

iHero: More Season 2 Promos

Yes, like the title said they’re doing more promotions for the drama.

This time, Dou Hua Mei is present as well.

Some people were complaining about how there were lack of Xiao Xin and Jing Ling’s individual pictures, which I agreed. Not to mention how the focus of the main leads seemed to be on Jason, Janel, and Kurt only. It was indeed strange yet I still hope they continue to include the rest of the main cast  as well and shift the cases from time to time like Season 1 or it would turn into a disaster with too much focus on this or that character and pushing out others just to create a hype. I liked Season 1 because there was a balance between cases and personal time so I hope they continue on that path. I also liked that no one upstage anyone in the drama as an overall. They all had their parts and created a humorous and witty atmosphere from throughout.

iHero: Season 2 Officially Filming

Yes! Finally some concrete news about this. They officially started filming at long last! I wouldn’t blame them since it’s hard to get everyone back together with how their schedules are. Just that I’m anxious to see them back in action. (Go here and here for news clips.)

Anyway, season 2 is called Righteous War (正義之戰). They’re planning on 45 episodes, but we’ll have to see.

Oh look! Xiao Xin is back! I’m glad she’s not gone for good because I really liked her in the previous season. Everyone added some vibrant energy to the whole drama so can’t imagine the drama without any of them.

And don’t worry! Jing Ling will also be back for the second season. It was just that Dou Hua Mei couldn’t make it to the camera opening ceremony. Janel had clarified that detail in the comments of her post since someone had asked about Jing Ling.

The Two of Us

It has been a long time since I watched anything relating to Ming Dao. But it was only one episode so I thought I gave it a go. Then I realize there was also some others in here that I enjoyed so the better. How was it? It was interesting to say the least. It was confusing at first with some of the sequences and events going on. However, I got used to the style.

Anyway, this tele-movie reminded me of why Zhang Chen Guang is my all time favorite Taiwanese actor. Each time he tried a new role, he always managed to impress. It was amazing to see how he acted out various scenes. The length of the drama didn’t mean it lacked depth because there were plenty of time for development of characters and plot. In fact, because of the short length, it allowed for some of the crucial elements to come into play, instead of plugging in some unnecessary details over and over again in a longer drama.

Phoenix Chang was awesome as well in her performance. She totally brought out the many sides of her character in here. Her suffering was done alone for the most part, but out in the world, she covered it all up. Until she wasn’t able to take it anymore. Talking about that, the drama really covered the differences of how people cope through lost. Some cried it out, some just didn’t cry. Or was too numbed or tried to distract themselves with other stuffs. It didn’t mean that one way or another was wrong. It was how they were. So who was to say that either party was wrong?

The theme of cheating was also covered in this drama. Although cheating had been done so many times in past dramas, but this time, it brought us toward a different direction. I thought it was well done. There were too many complications going on. There were the wonderful feelings of past memories, but then came those feelings of betrayal, resentment, and much more.

I think that people who like happy dramas shouldn’t watch. Because you might be disappointed. Do not watch either if you think Ming Dao would be a big part of this. Well, he was in a sense, because his character held a key in the story–and he did quite well alongside the other veteran stars. However, he didn’t appear as much because this was definitely the stage for Phoenix Chang and Zhang Chen Guang. This a great drama with the theme of reflection and other elements of life.
