It has been seven years now and I’m bringing this back out to discuss, nice or what? Once again, only listing fanfics that have been posted on the blog, NOT anything still in the background.
So, who’s the winner this time?
Wallace Huo – 19 (The Neurotic Collection, The Slanted Thoughts Collection, Stranded, The Business, The Dating Game Collection, and 4 one-shots) – The reigning champion. Because of The Dating Game, mostly, lol. I told you guys Wallace will leave the rest of the people in the dust with the next update. Proof, right? He would have left them in a wider gap if I hadn’t been so stuck on some of the stories.
The rest?
Cyndi Wang – 15 (Neurotic, Slanted Thoughts, The Dating Game 1-4 + 7-8, Scheming Nature, The Other Extreme, HIDE & SEEK, Slicing Boundary, and 3 one-shots) – She actually appeared some more in The Dating Game so that was why her number went up. It was only briefly and to resolve some past conflicts. Aside from that, I don’t have other new stories of hers in the background.
Joanne Tseng – 14 (The Dating Game Collection, Scheming Nature, The Other Extreme, Heaven’s Gift, True Friendship, and 2 one-shots)
Angela Chang – 13 (Neurotic: Tainted World, The Slanted Thoughts Collection, The Dating Game Collection, The Other Extreme, When Wishes Come True, and 1 one-shot)
Nicholas Teo – 13 (The Neurotic Collection, The Slanted Thoughts Collection, The Dating Game 3-8, Payback, Slicing Boundary, and 1 one-shot)
Jacky Chu – 13 (The Dating Game Collection, Scheming Nature, The Other Extreme, +Destiny+, True Friendship, and 1 one-shot)
Tony Sun – 12 (The Neurotic Collection, The Dating Game Collection, and 1 one-shot)
Johnny Yan – 10 (The Dating Game Collection, +Destiny+, and 1 one-shot)
Ehlo Huang – 9 (The Dating Game Collection, +Destiny+)
Bianca Bai – 9 (The Dating Game Collection and 1 one-shot)
Achel Chang – 8 (The Dating Game Collection)
Andy Chen Yi – 8 (The Dating Game Collection)

What now?
I was actually waiting for The Dating Game to be finished posting before I update on this one. However, I think that’s it for now. Yes, I will say that it’s a good stopping point. Because somehow, I’d gone off the rails with the plot in parts 9 and 10. In fact, I tried to fix it several times but it wasn’t happening. It got worse. At least, it became so serious that it became an 8 P.M. soaps plot that I didn’t want to post. I loved it in my twisted way, that I will admit. However, I don’t think it’s considered appropriate for the current context that I tried to build. Sure, there was intensity at times, but it always came back. It did come back this time, but it no longer felt the same. In fact, I had merged part 9 in with part 8 to complete in its current state. Yes, it’s finished. However, you could see halfway through it was already heading toward a very dark place. Even darker than before. So I will stop now regarding posting it on here. I will say that I’m still working on part 9 to see if I could tweak it back to its original course. Considering how I still enjoyed it and felt like I enjoyed it more than before, I won’t post it. Unless in the future I change my mind. As of now, that’s it.
What will happen now that The Dating Game is coming to an end? I’ll probably have more time to work on the others. However, I can’t say it’s going to be soon. 2020 has in its twisted way allowed me more time to work on finishing on some fanfics. But it still brought out a very dark side to stories. I think that was what happened to The Dating Game, even if I did enjoy working on it.
I wanted to save the update regarding The Dating Game with the usual fanfic updates posts, but I thought I say something here first. Since I would be caught up in some of the real-life stuff and might not update on that one for a while.
